![]() I learned It is possible to be the only one at Angels Rest.Īnd the most important lesson learned is You cannot see the sunrise from the top of Angels Rest. I learned The ability to take a selfie, at night, wearing a headlight with the trailhead sign in the background, is a skill I do not possess. It's self-centered, inconsiderate, rude.and oh yeah CHEAP. up at 2:45 in the morning to ask if she has any Starbucks gift cards left (she's a teacher). Well, I learned a lot while attempting to make this a reality. Bookend hikes for a weekday! Oh this is gonna be great.better figure out the times using a spreadsheet.hikes that require a spreadsheet gotta be good.right. Thanks Angels Rest(and Robert!)-we'll be back.Based on an idea put forth by techboy I came up with the brilliant idea to do a pre-work hike in the gorge.then I thought, what about a pre-work hike to watch the sunrise.on Angels Rest.yeah and then combine it with a post-work hike to watch the sunset.on Angels Rest. All of this, and it was by far the most affordable hotel that we looked at. Above all, the friendliness and service of the owner make this place special. The views, the pool (I could dive into it from the patio/balcony of our room!) the kitchen, and all the cool nooks and crannies and balconies of the interesting building made our stay very enjoyable. All of us-adults and children alike, which ranged from one year old to 15 years old, LOVED the hotel. In addition, there is easy access to a bus that goes straight to the Malecon. The hotel is located just 2 blocks from a wonderful fish/produce market which we used to prepare our meals in one of the hotel's kitchens. We felt so comfortable and at ease here! Besides being an accommodating and welcoming host, Robert knows the city so well, that you should definitely use his advice and directions to get around and see the sights. ![]() The owner, Robert, is extremely friendly and helpful. There is a large hostel-style room which was great for couples with young children, and other unique rooms, which we all enjoyed. There were 17 of us in all, and the hotel accommodated us perfectly. My wife, two teenage kids and several members of my wife's extended family had a vacation/family reunion in Puerto Vallarta in July of this year. Sincerely, Lori Meyer and family - Carson City, NV Will definitely return to stay at Angels Rest and visit Rob the owner. I would recommend Angels Rest to anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta. Angels Rest is only 11 blocks from the Malacon which has wonderful shopping, restaurants and bars, right next to the ocean. I especially loved mine and my husbands room were we had a large deck on the second floor and could jump from our deck right into a beautiful pool. Absolutely beautiful! The rooms were all very cozy and comfortable. What I would call the roof top which has an out door kitchen, fully equipped, a very large dining table, outdoor lounge chairs, a couch, pool table, all over looking the city of Puerto Vallarta is were we spent time together cooking and playing pool. It was the best! The villa itself was very comfortable and able to accommodate all of us. He also set up for us,a sailing trip for one of the days, which was a wonderful trip with a very knowledgable captain. ![]() Rob the owner of the Villa who lives on site was a perfect host, and very knowledgeable of the entire area. We had a very large group of 20, ages of 6 months old, 12, a lot in their 30's, one in their 40,s, one 50's, and 2 in their 60's. We stayed at Angels Rest from 12/28/15 to 1/8/16. ![]()
